Guys m using this phone from last 2 mounths and i must say that after facing many problems the overall performance of the phone is GOOD.You must take some time to understand the functionality of the fone.I had also faced issues like battery backup,dust under the screen,sending/recieving file via bluetooth but its not that big problemsthat cannot be resolved.
There are many applications provided in the android market that can help to boost up the batt. backup and some of the points you must keep in mind that to turn off bluetooth,wi-fi nd mobile net when not in use.Try to run TASK KILLER before putting d fone on stand by.Use SCREEN FILTER application to save the batt that is sucked by the screen and also disable BACKGROUND DATA SYNC when not in use from the account settings and use the fone in 2G mode(if not using 3G).These measures can extend the batt life of your phone.
And for file transfer via bluetooh it can be done using OI FILE MANAGER very easily.
As far as it is issue of dust under screen, it can be fixed at your nearest LG service center.
So now i am enjoying using my phone and its a great fun using it in daily routine.

It is not playing hd vedios of 640x480 and 480x320resolution though it is supposed to play.........it plays only 3gp vedios in lower resolutions......so wat to do to watch hd videos of gud resolutions??and wat resolution is best suited for op1?

m using airtel.
n a lot many apps came preloaded wid my sd like shazam, pnr status check, photofunia etc etc.
well, d prob dat gallery takes too too long 2 show me files n no ease in using internet is soo damn annoying.
stil nt able 2 find out a solution.

Anyone else have this issue?handsets manufactured before december 2010 have this problem now the prob have been resolve by lg, just go to customer service centre they will provide u the best solution either change the body or add a new protective film

i just got optimus one. and i m regretting. many many drawbacks. dont be fooled by reviews. these people get demo set for hands on etc.
there are issues with lg pc suits- forget about connection using bluetooth.actually lg pc suit is a headache and useless.
u can not use speaker for calls. one sms to multiple people needs expert opinion. for me impossible.u can not see display under sunlight. typing for sms is more difficult than u see in different blogs and reviews.
indeed thers reviews tell u about buttons size weitht and other stupid things. same in user manual which comes with this lousy group(lg) product. no intelligent info in this precious booklet( in multiple language). all non sense.
dont buy it . dont buy cheep smartphones.... u will remember my words later.
buy good phone if u need phone . buy media and net product if u need that. just dont buy anything because it is named as smart(phone).

I bought p500 after seeing its specification that it has 512 mb ram and support java, midp 2.0. But now I found that android does not support java. Also it manual doesn't say if it has 512 mb ram. Looks like wrong specs for the phones floating on that net.

whenever you want to type, click and holddown the typing space where the cursor is, it will show you to select input method or type of keyboard. click on it and select lg keyboard.
